Don’t We Need A Yoga Mat?

I hope everyone is having fun with the Instagram Challenge. Twenty one days of taking photographs in the Pose of the Day and posting them on Instagram @hotyogau #hyuhabit.

Today’s Challenge Pose was Pigeon. Teachers Tiffani, Ashton and I decided to do the pose together, now for the where part… in the street! “Really?” it’s hot out and the cars are zooming by, but ok!’

I answered Ok, only because of their enthusiasm as they blurted out, “let’s do it in the street!” They were so excited, I honestly would have followed them anywhere!

So we posed in the street, in the middle of summer as the cars zoomed by. For me it was out so of the box, so out of my comfort zone and so completely out of the ordinary and guess what?

It was so completely wonderful!

We laughed the entire time as fellow yogi Amanda snapped away with my Iphone. We went back inside to look at the results and laughed even harder at the expression on my face in the photos.

I went into the photo shoot, unsure of my ability to do the posture correctly, unsure of the unknown and the road, but sure of my friends.

The photos reveal the freedom and pure joy in stepping out of your comfort zone.

What a blessing it is to have people in your life that poke and prod and encourage you to get uncomfortable. I wish that for you too! I am blessed by the women in my life.
