Meet Brittney our new blogger!

“Feel the fear and do it anyway!”

  • Susan Jeffers

Once it was announced that I was going to be blogging for HYU this fear of failure has overcome me. It has gripped my fingers, blocked my mind and prevented me from writing an entry. Writing has always come naturally to me, but now that there was an expectation of me I think I some what started to doubt my ability to do so. Isn’t it crazy how fear and doubt can make you question something that you already know how to do?

I took a week to reflect on these feelings and I’m finally ready to get over my this false illusion of fear I have created. One thing I have learned in my lifetime is that the universe makes no mistakes. There is a reason I was selected to share with you all therefore I am pushing through my fear today and writing my first entry…. an Introduction.

My name is Brittney Alexander I am a 30 year old Arizona native, mother, entrepreneur, and new found Yogi. I have been practicing at HYU for a short period of time and in that time my experience has been completely life changing to say the least. I have tried other studios since and it just isn’t the same. They say home is where the heart is and that is exactly what HYU has become for me…my yoga home.

For the next 3 months I will be practicing and blogging my journey, experiences, and breakthroughs here at HYU. Whether you are an experienced Yogi or have never touched a mat in your life and are considering, I hope in some way or another you all are able to relate to these posts. With these entries I hope we can laugh together, cry together, and above all grow together spiritually.

I can’t wait to see you all on the mat this week!

Namaste
