Merry Christmas From All of Us!
Merry Christmas Everyone!
I am feeling extra blessed this year to have such an amazing group of teachers; Nicole, Effie, Diana, Sammy, Jenni, Christina, Carol and Clover, you guys make it happen day in and day out and for our newest group of heart centered teachers, Veronica, Rick, Laura Jo, Heidi and Lisa you keep up the great work, are all growing by leaps and bounds!
I love the addition of my daughter Samantha, as Director of Operations, you’re awesome and your enthusiasm in contagious!
We are uber excited to move over to Wilshire Plaza in the next few weeks and when we “nail” down the actual date we’ll post it.
Have you ever noticed the similarities of our yoga journey and Christmas? The word Yoga in Sanskrit means to “yoke”- mind, body and spirit- with an ultimate “goal”of self-realization. And Christianity celebrates Jesus, the embodiment of the divine in human form. I still remember that ah-ha moment on my mat where I experienced a oneness with life and with the divine within me.
“In the beginning I had been practicing yoga the way most of the Western world does, merely focusing on one limb, the asana practice . . . but I knew at that moment yoga was so much more than just a physical practice and from that day on my intention has been to create an environment and to bring in teachers who also believe that we are here to hold space for others so they can experience this same peace.”
To all of our amazing students, we wouldn’t be here without you and we are grateful for your loyalty, love and support! Whatever your reason for coming to HYU we are grateful for your presence. We are truly a melting pot of acceptance, all of us coming together on our mats to learn more about ourselves and to evolve.
Wishing you the Blessings of Peace and Health this Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
